Matt Zanis TS#6

For David’s sixth session, we started off by reviewing the three parts of the sentence discussed in the previous two sessions: the subject, predicate, and object. After a brief review we began looking at today’s topic, indirect objects. Following in the format of our last two lessons, I started off with an overview of what an indirect object is and then showed him sample sentences to give him a look of grammar-in-context. From there we moved onto the indirect object portion of the Jeopardy game that was used in last week’s session. We spent a little more time here than last week as the content was definitely more difficult. Rather than go straight into the quiz, I had David construct his own sentences containing an indirect object to try and clear up any confusion. Lastly, we finished with the quiz and I was very impressed with how far he had come over the course of the session.
