Today in the cultural workshop we helped the
CIES students on their Capstone project. Along with us, the CIES students are
making a big posted board that basically summarizes what we've talked about
throughout our cultural workshop sessions. For our project we basically decided
to compare and contrast the three different cultures our group has discussed
this session; America, Dubai, and Russia. We spoke about the three different
types of religion and discussed how Lina's religion also participates in
fasting like Saeed's does, we then compared this to the Catholic religion when
people give up something for Lent and don't eat meat on Friday's during this
period. We also spoke again about how our different greetings vary and how
classroom behavior varies.
