We start off our lesson by Seoha tracing letters. Since I realized
writing her own story was too difficult for Seoha I thought it would be a
better idea for me to read a story to her and after I read a page I ask, “So
what happened?”. If Seoha cannot answer the question I read the page again and
ask the same question…if she doesn’t get it the first time she always does the
second! This is a very good test of Seoha’s listening skills, which I think are
very important at her age. At the end of the lesson I allowed Seoha to pick out
a book of her choice and we both read it together, this tested her reading
skills as well.
