Today
I observed a Group 3 Composition class. This class was a little bit less
interesting to me than the rest just because there was a lot less group
discussion. The class mainly focused on the students working on an essay assignment
that they had. This class opened up with a few students reading their essays
(or what they had so far) to the class. The professor mainly just listened to
the students’ essays however she would throw in some error corrections or ask
questions about things that didn’t exactly make sense. I think this is
important because it helps to provoke the students’ thoughts and possibly give
them a different idea for where their essays should go. After this the class
worked on finishing their essays, the professor was readily available if any
students had a question.
