Matt Zanis TS#15

For my second tutoring session with Federico, I began by reviewing the parts of the introduction we had already discussed. After our review, I then had him write his own introduction following the template we had established. To make it more interesting for him, I allowed him to write about his favorite television show, The Flash. Once he finished, we went over the content of his paragraph together, discussing word choice and any other areas I thought he could improve on. Once we had the content under wraps, I circled a few grammar mistakes he had made and allowed him to correct the errors himself. For any that he struggled with, I tried to provide the explicit rationale. Following that, we went over some things that are common to body paragraphs such as: transitions, supporting details, examples, and justifier sentences. Following the short lesson, I had him write his own body paragraph and we went over it just as we had done with the introduction paragraph earlier.
