I had my fourth session with Astin on August 4th. We met at the main library again and he was excited
again as he loves coming to the main library.
He wanted to make a list so we had an agenda to follow so I allowed him
to pick some of the pages we worked on.
I think involving him in the process helps to keep him engaged. We continued to work in his workbooks with
his phonics. He seems to be able to
sound things out correctly most of the time but then gets confused as to what
the actual sound is, he questions himself and seems unconfident. We had just enough time to do the workbook
pages that were on the list. We will
work on building his confidence with knowing what the sounds are in the next
session.
