I sat in on Candace’s Group 1 Speaking class. I coincidentally observed this class on Eid, and so all the Muslim students were out of class, which made both of my classroom observations much smaller than they would have been. There were only two students in this particular class. The topic for that day was about where we lived. The class was quite informal, and really just felt like a conversation between 4 people. We each talked about our house and described the way it looked, how big it was, and who we lived with.
