Selene TP-5
My second tutoring session with Matthew was a little frustrating. He did not read the chapter I had assigned to him for homework and I had to improvise our lesson for the day. Thankfully, I had my computer with me and looked up some activities on the internet. Afterwards, I though about how seldom I did the reading assignments that were required of me when I was in school. It made me realize that teaching is going to be less formulaic than I thought and will require a great deal of thinking on my feet and figuring out ways to get my students excited enough that they will want to work on their English on their own. I have learned quite a bit about topics Matthew is interested in and I will use that to my advantage next time.
