This week's workshop was really fun. I was assigned to an entirely new group since many students from TEFL as well as CIES were absent. I think the activity still worked really well and we got to learn a lot about each other's cultures. This workshop dealt with stereotypes and generalizations and encouraged all of us to not only learn about the difference between the two but also allowed us to get to know each other. I am amazed at how effective this sessions are at uniting the two groups while helping the CIES students with their English skills and the TEFL students with our teaching skills. Kyle did a great job at facilitating the class, getting everyone excited to participate and making sure the groups were well-mixed between TEFL and CIES students. I think it was a little more challenging  to keep the conversation fresh and exciting with so many people absent but it still accomplished its goal entirely.
