Selene TP-8

Today's session with Matthew went really well. I met him at 10:30am rather than 4:30pm like I usually do. I think this may have influenced his level of interest and cooperation as I usually see him after summer camp. We spent the first half of the session solving riddles and logic puzzles on my computer. This kept him engaged and he even said he was having fun! After that, we stumbled upon a  worksheet for "gifted 7th graders" (Matthew hasn't even started 6th grade yet) on olympic gods and goddesses where he had to read the description of each god and then match some key facts to their names. He already knew a lot about this subject and we completed the worksheet together. I think today was our most productive session, and the activities did not feel like work for either of us. Other activities like this will hopefully keep him engaged and excited in the future. Now to trick him into writing something...
